The Halmahera Coffee story
Halmahera Coffee is a coffee roaster that was established in Jakarta in celebration of Indonesia's rich history in coffee. Since the Dutch colonial period, local coffee was grown and exported to the rest of the world, bringing our unique coffee taste to other international markets.
Hence the term "A cup of Java" was made famous.
Halmahera Coffee also brings you certain folklore in Morotai district in Halmahera Province. The folklore claims that there is a rock called "Coffee Rock / Batu Kopi" which gives out a coffee aroma everyday in the late afternoon. Just like in the folklore, we aim to give you the best coffee aroma everyday in your cup of coffee.

The Halmahera Coffee team has learnt its trade from one of Indonesia's pioneer roaster since the Dutch Colonial days. They have been around for more than 130 years in coffee roasting and we know we have learnt from the best. We can fine-tune our Arabica and Robusta beans according to our customer's taste and bringing out the best in Indonesian Arabica and Robusta. Whether it's a dark robusta roast, or a medium Arabica roast, there's always something to suit your taste.
